Wireless tank level monitoring and automatic pump control — configured and ready to connect to your Outback Solar Pump system.
The Outback TankLink Wireless Tank Level Control System is designed for remote tanks, bores and livestock watering systems where running traditional float-switch cable between the tank and pump is difficult, expensive or simply impractical.
TankLink uses a non-contact ultrasonic level sensor mounted above the water tank to continuously measure the distance to the water surface. Tank level information is transmitted wirelessly back to the TankLink control module installed near your pump controller.
The control module then interfaces with your pump system, allowing the pump to respond automatically to configured tank-level conditions.
Unlike a conventional float switch, there is no float hanging inside the tank and no long control cable running between the tank and pump.
The level sensor is designed for harsh outdoor environments, features an IP66 enclosure, and is powered by a high-capacity replaceable battery. The supplied sensing technology supports remote tank and level monitoring specifically as one of its intended applications
HOW IT WORKS
- Monitor the Tank: The wireless ultrasonic sensor mounts above the water and measures the distance to the water surface without physical contact.
- Send the Tank Level Wirelessly: Tank level data is transmitted over the wireless network to the TankLink control system.
- Control the Pump: The TankLink controller connects to your pump controller and can be configured to respond to predefined tank-level conditions.
- Automatic Operation: For example, the pump can be configured to start when the tank falls below a chosen level and stop when the tank reaches the required full level.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does TankLink replace a normal tank float switch?
Yes. TankLink can provide automatic tank-level control without needing a traditional float switch and long control cable running between the tank and pump.
Does the sensor touch the water?
No. The TankLink sensor uses ultrasonic measurement from above the water surface, so there are no moving floats or probes submerged in the tank.
Does TankLink come ready to use?
Yes. Each TankLink system is configured for your application before dispatch. We set up the communication and control logic required to interface with your compatible Outback Solar Pump controller.
