Outback Solar Pumps – Limited Product Warranty
At Outback Solar Pumps, every system we supply is built for reliability in harsh Australian conditions. To back this up, we provide a Limited Product Warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal operating conditions.

Warranty Coverage Period
The following warranty periods apply from the original date of purchase:
- Solar pump motor & pump end:Â 24 months
- Solar pump controller:Â 24 months
- Solar panels supplied in kits:Â 24 months
- Electrical cables, connectors & accessories:Â 12 months
What This Warranty Covers
This warranty covers manufacturing defects that occur during normal, intended use, including:
- Defects in materials
- Failure of the pump motor or pump end under correct installation conditions
- Internal electrical component failure of the controller
- Faults arising during normal operation within published specifications
What This Warranty Does Not Cover
This warranty does not cover:
- Installation, removal, commissioning, or labour costs
- Freight or transport costs to or from Outback Solar Pumps
- Dry running due to incorrect installation or insufficient submersion below dynamic water level
- Damage caused by sand, silt, slurry, grit, iron bacteria, or abrasive water conditions
- Incorrect voltage, incorrect solar panel configuration, or incorrect wiring
- Lightning, surge, fire, flood, or other external damage
- Unauthorised modification or repair
- Operation outside published pump performance specifications
- Loss of water supply, livestock, crops, produce, income, time, or business interruption
Warranty Conditions
To remain eligible for warranty coverage, all of the following conditions must be met:
- Installation must be completed in accordance with Outback Solar Pumps installation manuals
- The pump must be installed below the dynamic water level at all times
- Correct solar panel configuration and polarity must be used
- Products must be used in clean to lightly mineralised groundwater only
- Proof of purchase must be provided for all warranty claims
Failure to meet these conditions may void warranty coverage.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Outback Solar Pumps’ liability under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the defective product, at our discretion.
This warranty does not extend to indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage, including labour, installation costs, freight, downtime, or loss of use.
Warranty Claim Procedure
To lodge a warranty claim:
- Contact Outback Solar Pumps with proof of purchase and a description of the fault
- Provide installation details and operating conditions if requested
- Return the product freight-paid for inspection if required
- Approved claims will be repaired or replaced at Outback Solar Pumps’ discretion
