Outback Solar Pumps – Retail Shipping & Delivery Policy
At Outback Solar Pumps, we aim to make ordering simple, clear, and transparent. This policy explains how shipping and delivery works for retail customers purchasing online within Australia.
Order Processing Time
Orders are usually processed within 1–2 business days after payment has been received.
During busy periods, large orders, or where freight needs to be quoted, processing may take slightly longer. If there are any expected delays, we will contact the customer before dispatch.
Estimated Delivery Timeframes
Estimated delivery times after dispatch are:

Delivery timeframes are estimates only and may vary depending on the freight carrier, delivery location, weather, road access, public holidays, and freight network delays.
Standard Free Shipping Australia-Wide
Outback Solar Pumps offers standard free shipping Australia-wide on most retail orders.
Free shipping applies to standard ground freight using a freight carrier selected by Outback Solar Pumps.
Unless otherwise stated, standard free shipping may apply to:
- Complete solar pump kits
- Solar panels supplied individually or in small quantities
- Accessories ordered with pump kits or panels
- Standard metropolitan and regional Australian delivery locations
Free shipping applies to standard road freight only and does not include express, priority, crane, forklift, tail-lift, special handling, or restricted-access delivery services.
Delivery Costs
Most online retail orders include free standard delivery within Australia.
However, additional freight charges may apply in some circumstances, including:
- Remote or very remote delivery locations
- Island deliveries
- Station, farm, mine site, or off-road deliveries
- Restricted-access locations
- Bulk orders or multiple pump kit orders
- Orders requiring palletisation or special handling
- Deliveries requiring tail-lift, forklift, crane, or appointment-based delivery
- Locations where the freight carrier applies additional delivery fees
If an additional freight charge is required, Outback Solar Pumps will contact the customer before dispatch. No additional freight charges will be applied without customer approval.
Where possible, Outback Solar Pumps may offer subsidised or quoted freight for these locations.
Multiple Pump Kits & Large Orders
Orders containing multiple pump kits may still qualify for free shipping. However, in some cases, the increased size, weight, or volume of the order may require palletisation or alternative freight arrangements.
If additional freight costs are required due to order size, packing configuration, freight volume, or carrier handling requirements, Outback Solar Pumps will assess the order before dispatch and advise the customer if a freight contribution is required.
No additional freight charges will be applied without customer approval.
Delivery Method
Orders may be delivered by courier, general freight carrier, pallet freight, or another suitable delivery method depending on the order size and delivery location.
Solar pump kits, solar panels, and accessories may be delivered as separate consignments.
Outback Solar Pumps reserves the right to select the most suitable freight carrier and delivery method for each order.
Express Shipping
Express or priority shipping is not included in standard free shipping.
Express shipping may be available on request and is subject to:
- Item size and weight
- Delivery location
- Carrier availability
- Freight carrier acceptance
All express shipping services are quoted individually, charged separately, and confirmed prior to dispatch.
Remote & Restricted Locations
Free shipping may not apply to deliveries classified by freight carriers as remote, very remote, restricted access, or special handling locations.
This may include:
- Remote properties
- Farms and stations
- Mine sites
- Island deliveries
- Off-road locations
- Locations requiring special access, equipment, or booking arrangements
For these locations, freight may need to be quoted before dispatch.
Authority to Leave
Standard delivery may be completed with Authority to Leave where suitable.
If the customer provides Authority to Leave, Outback Solar Pumps is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage after the freight carrier has confirmed delivery to the nominated address.
If Authority to Leave is not suitable, the customer should notify Outback Solar Pumps before dispatch. Additional freight, re-delivery, or storage charges may apply if a delivery attempt is unsuccessful.
Inspection on Delivery
Customers must inspect their order upon delivery.
Any visible damage should be noted with the freight carrier at the time of delivery where possible.
If an item arrives damaged, missing, or incorrect, the customer must contact Outback Solar Pumps within 24 hours of delivery with:
- Order number
- Photos of the damaged item
- Photos of the packaging
- Details of the issue
Failure to report damage within this timeframe may affect freight claim eligibility.
Incorrect Delivery Details
Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete delivery information at checkout.
Outback Solar Pumps is not responsible for delays, re-delivery fees, storage fees, or additional freight charges resulting from incorrect or incomplete delivery details.
Customer-Arranged Freight
Customers may request to arrange their own freight where suitable.
Customer-arranged freight must be confirmed with Outback Solar Pumps before collection. Once goods are collected by the customer’s nominated freight provider, responsibility for freight handling, loss, damage, or delays passes to the customer and their carrier.
Freight Discretion
Outback Solar Pumps reserves the right to:
- Select the freight carrier and delivery method
- Consolidate shipments where required
- Split shipments where required
- Adjust shipping arrangements to ensure safe and practical delivery
- Charge additional delivery fees where required, subject to customer approval before dispatch
