Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Pioneer designed for high flow or greater lift?

The Pioneer is primarily designed for greater lift rather than high flow. It delivers up to 18 L/min with a maximum head of 100m, making it ideal for deeper or higher-pressure bore applications where reliable water lifting capability is more important than maximum volume.

Can the Outback Pioneer operate from backup power?

Yes. The Pioneer includes an AC/DC MPPT controller, allowing it to run directly from its supplied solar panels with the option of compatible AC or generator backup when required. This provides additional flexibility for important rural water supply applications.

When should I choose the Pioneer instead of the Scout?

Choose the Pioneer when you need greater lift or pressure from your bore. While both models deliver up to 18 L/min, the Pioneer provides a maximum head of 100m compared with the Scout’s 70m, making it better suited to deeper bores or more demanding water delivery requirements.
