Frequently Asked Questions

What applications is the Outback Pathfinder best suited for?

The Pathfinder is ideal for transferring water between tanks, pumping from dams or creeks, supplying stock watering systems and supporting light irrigation. It delivers up to 37 L/min with a maximum head of 62m, making it a practical surface water transfer solution for rural properties.

Why does the Pathfinder include a foot valve?

As a surface-mounted pump, the Pathfinder draws water through a suction line rather than operating underwater. The included foot valve helps keep the suction line primed and reduces water draining back when the pump stops, supporting reliable startup and operation.

What is the maximum suction lift of the Outback Pathfinder?

The Outback Pathfinder has a maximum suction lift of up to 8 metres under suitable installation conditions. However, for optimal performance, easier priming and more reliable water flow, we recommend keeping the suction lift to approximately 4–5 metres or less wherever possible.
